At the forthcoming show, uvex is presenting its new sustainable product system - "protecting planet"
uvex’s corporate mission of "protecting people" is more relevant than ever, and our commitment to this includes taking responsibility for society and the environment.
As a family-owned manufacturer, our USP is that we can control, measure and transparently report our sustainable progress across our entire global business. Having implemented over 300 measures to improve our sustainability performance by investing in new technologies, processes and green energy to measurably reduce CO₂ output by 70% in recent years, the goal is to be carbon-neutral in the near future. However, our commitment does not stop there; high quality standards for products are combined with the development of recycling concepts and the use of bio-based materials. The durability and long service life of uvex products also help to reduce waste and conserve resources.

Under the motto "protecting planet", uvex is presenting a complete product system of environmentally friendly products for the first time.
uvex pure-fit
Thanks to their unique single-material design, these safety spectacles – just like their packaging – are 100% recyclable. Manufactured using a fully automated, energy-saving production process, the CO₂ emissions for this product are reduced by around 50% making the uvex pure-fit a highly sustainable solution. Using new packaging techniques, uvex have reduced the amount of packaging materials by more than half which helps reduce waste and cut CO₂ emissions in logistics. The timeless design will appeal to all and not date, again helping to prolong the lifecycle of the product.
uvex Bamboo TwinFlex D® xg
Made using 45% sustainable materials this cut level D glove is manufactured in our certified CO₂ neutral production facility in Germany and feels soft and silky on the skin thanks to the use of bamboo fibres on the inside of the glove. In addition to the bamboo which is a renewable raw material, recycled polyamide is used in the manufacture of the glove. These two sustainable materials make up 45% of the materials used. The gloves also have an adaptive fit, ensuring a truly personal wearer experience. For safety gloves that offer cut protection level D, these are amazingly light, flexible, thin and sensitive. The uvex Bamboo TwinFlex D® xg has also received ProDERM® certification and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is suitable for particularly allergic wearers (those with type 4 allergies).
uvex 1 G2 planet
From the upper to the sole, the new uvex 1 G2 planet offers both sustainability and performance in one. In accordance with the EN ISO 14021:2016 standard, the uvex 1 G2 planet consists of 25% recycled materials without compromising its protective or comfort properties. Many of the shoe's components, such as the upper and insole, are made from 100% recycled materials. In addition, uvex already uses some of its own PU waste for the production of the outsole.

The uvex i-range safety eyewear made using bio-based materials and environmentally friendly packaging solutions without compromising the protective qualities.
uvex pheos planet helmet
The uvex pheos planet helmet has a shell made using up to 30% bioplastic and the headband is made using 50% degranulated helmet shells, which significantly reduces process-related waste during production.
uvex hearing range
The uvex hearing range is made in the company’s Swedish production facility, where manufacturing 1,000 pairs of earplugs only generates 85 grams of waste, which is equivalent to the weight of one full coffee filter. Of this waste, 75% of it generates new energy sources and 25% of the waste is recycled.
